Details

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management Elastic Charging Engine (ECE) 11.3 Patch Set 2 (11.3.0.2.0) is released on 15 December 2016.
This announcement lists the enhancements and fixes delivered in Elastic Charging Engine 11.3 Patch Set 2.

Patch ID: <Patch 24708603>

Note: This patch set requires installing Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center 11.1.0.8.4 ( <Patch 25187795> ) as a mandatory patch.

Key Enhancements:

Delayed Usage Processing:
With this release, you can configure ECE to process delayed usage requests. This allows you to configure item assignment rules based on delay period and billing cycles.

Charging Based on Called and Calling Party Profiles:
ECE provides an enhanced charging capability based on a combination of calling and called party profiles information.

Tax Codes and Custom Item Types in Extension Cache:
ECE now provides access to tax codes and item types in extension cache, so that you can override tax rates, or assign items to balance impacts for the rating period based on extension data accessible to ECE extensions.

Profile Sharing:
ECE can now apply charges based on a customer's participation in a profile sharing group that subscribes to a promotion.

Individualized Charging:
ECE can now override pricing attributes like charge, step, lower bound or upper bound, based on special dynamic tags configured in PDC and made available in pre-rating extension.

Enhanced Rounding:
With ECE, you can achieve rounding based on the rounding rules configured in PDC, for each processing stage such as charging, alteration and taxation.

For more information, see BRM Elastic Charging Engine documentation.
