Customer Order Webservice is Failing With NullPointerException For Barcodes

In Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM), when a bar code item is used in the Customer Order Web Service, except for the NEW action all other actions are failing with a NullPointerException.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create the customer order with Action Type =NEW with reservation type=CUSTORD and ID="TestOrder" by inputting the bar code number .
2. Once the above customer order is created, create customer Order with Action Type in any of the following (MODIFY,CANCEL_RESERVATION,FULFILL and CANCEL_FULFILL) and Reservation Type='CUSTORD' and ID="TestOrder" by inputting the same bar code.
3. Notice that it fails due to the null pointer exception.
