Missing CCS/VWS Charging EDRs After Reservation Timeout
Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2016
Applies to:Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.0 to 6.0.0 [Release 4.4 to 6.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) excluding 4.0.3, it is possible for a Wallet to be charged but no Charging Control Services (CCS) Event Data Record (EDR) to be printed which appears as lost balances when viewing a subscribers EDR Screens. An equivalent Advanced Control Services (ACS) EDR will be printed regardless.
This occurs under the following conditions:
- Mid-Session Commits are enabled
- The current call/data session has crossed the Mid-Session Commit threshold
- Charge on Timeout is disabled
- The call/data session times out
New config as described above is added and any active session times out.
