Davadmin Migration Does Not Migrate Shared Address Books (Doc ID 2217069.1)

Last updated on MARCH 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Contacts Server - Version 8.0.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

I am currently testing the davadmin migration command to migrate address books from the PAB directory into Contacts Server.
Everything works fine except the shared address books, which are not migrated into the Contact Server.  The sharing for these address books is lost.

The user_log appears to show that the address book does migrate successfully, but the migration seems to ignore any access rights.
It is our expectation that the migration should migrate both default and shared address books.

Example user_log entry:

Note: On the source platform with PAB, I had two accounts.  On the first account (<uid_1>), I created a new address book and then shared it with Outlook Connector 9, with the second account.  Then, on the second account, I subscribed to that shared address book (<uid_2>) and in that address book, I added few contacts (for testing).

In the PAB, the entry looks like:

dn: piEntryID=e158b034f2ab0,piPStoreOwner=<uid_1>,o=server.example.com,o=PiServerDb
piReader: <uid_1>
piReader: <uid_2>@server.example.com
objectClass: piLocalBook
objectClass: piTypeBook
objectClass: top
piBookType: abook
displayName: Test Sharing
piEntryID: e158b034f2ab0

We can see from the user_log, that the address book migrated successfully, as we see the 7 entries...but it seems to ignore any sharing rights:
