Device audit reports missing commands in error due to special characters in device configuration descriptions (Doc ID 2221850.1)

Last updated on MARCH 06, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Audits of routers are showing commands in red even if config is actually visible on the device.

Changes

There are 2 characters used in the prompt matching sequence done by the networkprocessor.  If any of the characters are used for device configurations it will cause the audits to terminate and show configurations in the 'red' alarm state even though they are correct.

The 2 characters are the '#' and '>' symbols.

If this is encountered review both

1 - descriptions on interfaces or

2 - site objects

and modify them by removing/changing the characters.
