Intermittently indexing of catalog data fails with a ClassCastException:
On some previous occasion, when custom application modules needed to use some standard Apache Java packages it was discovered that the necessary packages existed in JAR files that ship with the Oracle Commerce product in some Endeca-related JARs. On that occasion, one or more of these JAR files were added to the definition of the CLASSPATH that is used by the Nucleus system within Oracle Commerce by adding the JARs to the ATG-Class-Path line of the META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file of custom application modules. This allowed the NoClassDefFoundError or ClassNotFoundException errors to stop, so this configuration became permanent.
