How to display Time Stamps in Local Timezone of the User's Machine/Laptop? (Doc ID 2222616.1)

Last updated on JULY 17, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical - Version 5.0.0 to 5.1.0 [Release 5.0.0 to 5.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

What are the configurations which need to be accomplished to display time stamps(for events such as when the CRF was last modified, verified, approved, or locked) in local machine timezone or allow to insert date from user's machine into the DCI Date header field in Data Entry window?

For example if database timezone is set to EST timezone , RDC Onsite always stores time stamps according to the timezone of the database server in our example EST.

If you have a user based in India (eg: IST timezone) who wants to see the time stamps(for events such as when the CRF was last modified, verified, approved, or locked) converted into his laptop's timezone, then user will need to perform configuration described in the Solution section. Or same applies if user wants to insert current date from his machine into the DCI Date header field in Data Entry window.
