The "time distributed interval" = Week setting is not present in the SETTINGS table.
The "time distributed interval" = Week setting should be present in the SETTINGS table.
STEPS TO DUPLICATE:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enable publication and set the "Time distributed" interval to "week" (Administer/application settings/services)
2. Run the following query :
select * from settings where upper(namespace) like 'PX%' order by namespace;
3. Notice there is no "PxService.TimeDistribution " entry in the settings table.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, the actual "Time distributed" interval is calculated per day.
Bug 26504066 - PX RESOURCE LIMIT DATA CHANGED TO WEEKLY AFTER UPGRADE/SERVICES RUN was created to investigate the data differences in px data output from a 15.2 db and a 17.x db published data.
In the end, it was discovered that the differences were because of the time interval setting being absent in the 15.2 (it was upgraded from P6V7) DB. Dev stated the absence of the setting defaults to using "Day" buckets for the time-distributed data. The upgrade process to R17 added the setting with a "Week" value.
