Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) 8.0.x, when you run an FTP Process with Calculation Method = Remaining Term in the "Calculation Selection" screen, the process fails after approximately 300,000 records with the following ORA-00060 error in the ofstp.xxxxxxxx.err file from $FIC_DB_HOME/log/FusionApps:

Module Logging OFS errors: (203105) Oracle drv_oci error: OCI Function: [4] - oexec(),
       oexn() SQL Function: [5] -
UPDATE Oracle Error: ORA- 00060: deadlock detected while waiting
       for resource Driver Function: drv_oci::Execute() SQL Statement:
update FSI_D_LOAN_CONTRACTS a
set  tran_rate_rem_term = :tran_rate_rem_term,
       charge_credit_trate_rem_term = :charge_credit_trate_rem_term,
       liquidity_premium_rate = :liquidity_premium_rate,
       liquidity_prem_charge_credit = :liquidity_prem_charge_credit,
       tp_average_life = :tp_average_life, tp_duration = :tp_duration
       where a.rowid = :0

Process Tuning is enabled when the error occurs with Number of Processes = 12.

If you re-run the FTP Process with Process Tuning disabled (Number of Processes = 0), the process completes successfully.

If you re-run the FTP Process with Calculation Method = "Standard", the process completes successfully.

You do not understand why the error occurs with Process Tuning enabled and the Remaining Term Calculation Method.
