Redesigning Pending Virtual Circuits is Not Removing Rows in NS_CON_REL Table (Doc ID 2224074.1)

PROBLEM STATEMENT

The schematic redesign process for a pending virtual circuit is leaving old NS_CON_REL rows in the MSS database.

In looking at the data in the NS_CON_REL table for the redesigned pending virtual circuit, the table still shows a bandwidth facility that the virtual is no longer assigned to.
When the VC is redesigned, some but not all of the NS_CON_REL rows are removed from the database.
All rows should have been removed.

Release: MSS 621.804.b3

STEPS

1. Open a VC in Pending status that was provisioned
2. Verify in the database - table ASAP.NS_CON_REL the connections that the VC is riding
3. Go to the Schematic Diagram page

4. Hit the Redesign link
5. Save as Current Issue
6. Close and reopen VC

7. Look in the database, table ASAP.NS_CON_REL shows the VC riding the connections that are not part of its path.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

When we reassign the bandwidths to the virtual, the schematic design should show the proper assignments and not the ones that are no longer assigned to.
The NS_CON_REL rows in the pending assignment should be removed when a Redesign is effected.

BUSINESS IMPACT

This is impacting our Network Provisioning integration as it is pulling in extra rows that do not belong.
