Error 'Essbase Could Not Get A Lock in The Specified Time' Processing BSP Calculations in Parallel (Doc ID 2224992.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Balances Sheet Planning (BSP) 8.0.2.x, when you process multiple BSP_Calculate rules in parallel (CALCPARALLEL > 1 in essbase.cfg), some calculations finish successfully but others end in error.  Checking the Job Console, the following error occurs for BSP_MM_DataExport1:

Essbase could not get a lock in the specified time.

Example:

The same error appears in the application log, <application>.log from $MIDDLEWARE_HOME/user_projects/epmsystem1/diagnostics/logs/essbase/essbase/app/<app>:

The errors appear to cause the Calculate processes to fail.
