Symptoms

When attempting to install a patchset and the message appears:

Prerequisit : The previous major version [yy.y] and account major version [xx.x] should be same.

Changes

 The account may have been recently upgraded several versions at one time, for example, 9.0 > 15.1 > 15.2 > 16.1.
