Allocation from Management Ledger to Instrument Failing Due to Engine Choosing Incorrect Table Not Defined in Data Filter (Doc ID 2226838.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management - Version 8.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT)

Symptoms

On PFT 8.0.2.0.4, for a dynamic driver percent distribution allocation from Management Ledger * CASA transactions table is using an incorrect table name for a Data Filter applied to the CASA transactions table.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Running an allocation from Management Ledger to CASA transactions. Have created and attached a Data filter in the drivers tab and this filter is not being picked up properly. From the PFT debug log, it seems that the Engine is expecting that filter should be on Management ledger, while the filter is defined on CASA transactions.

From the debug log:

Module Logging OFS Access module data: SELECT
SELECT DISTINCT SQL_QUERY, NVL(FORMULA_SYS_ID2, 0), COLUMN_NAME,
FROM_OPERATOR
FROM REV_DATA_FILTER
WHERE FILTER_SYS_ID = 214863
AND TABLE_NAME = 'FSI_D_MANAGEMENT_LEDGER'  <== Data Filter does not contain this definition.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the PFT engine to read correct Data Filter defined and use proper SQL:

Module Logging OFS Access module data: SELECT
SELECT DISTINCT SQL_QUERY, NVL(FORMULA_SYS_ID2, 0), COLUMN_NAME,
FROM_OPERATOR
FROM REV_DATA_FILTER
WHERE FILTER_SYS_ID = 214863
AND TABLE_NAME = 'FSI_D_CASA_TXNS' <= Correct table in Data Filter confirmed in REV_DATA_FILTER

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a new Dynamic Driver allocation Management Ledger * Instrument table output to Instrument table with Data Filter on driver for the Instrument table
2. Run the allocation
3. Check the debug log
