SARM Terminated Frequently With ORA-25408 (Doc ID 2227266.1)

Symptoms

SARM terminated frequently with the following errors logged in CTRL diagnostic files:

>> 002945.054:8:PROG:System Event :1330:control/control/ctrl_svr/process.c
ASAP System Event: ABNORMAL
Error: Abnormal Termination of <SARM_SERVER> (Generic <SARM_SERVER>), Pid 48588

>> 011606.139:8:PROG:System Event :1330:control/control/ctrl_svr/process.c
ASAP System Event: ABNORMAL
Error: Abnormal Termination of <SARM_SERVER>(Generic <SARM_SERVER>), Pid 49794

....

At the same time, the following ORA- error in the SARM diags was seen  before SARM terminated.

The same error occurred to CTRL server as well:

Those errors are indicating connection to DB was  lost due to either a DB failover or a network failure.
