Symptoms

Outlook connector 9 with Outlook 2016.

Normally, when you send invitations to gmail and other online email services, they are received as ics files.  Sometimes you may notice that Outlook insists on sending the invitations as winmail.dat.  These winmail.dat invitations may cause confusion to the Thunderbird or Convergence users.
