**Disclaimer:** This KM article may include the following abbreviations:

BO - Business Object
MDM - Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management
SOM - Oracle Utilities Service and Measurement Data Foundation

Determine Eligible commands business service retrieves all values configured for BO option ‘Initiate command processing role’ and returns a command BO as valid if any one of the option is configured on device’s service provider.

For example, In case of Remote disconnect, D1RD (Remote disconnect) and D1SC (On Demand Read scalar) are configured on service provider. Remote disconnect is returned as a valid command for the device though the corresponding processing role is disabled on service provider. This is due to Determine Eligible commands business service checking for D1RD and D1SC on service provider.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a device, device configuration, service point and install the device at the service point using install event. Install event should be in Connected/Commissioned state.
  2. Disable remote connect activity on the service provider.
  3. Create an Enable service activity.
  4. Remote connect will be created as a sub activity though its processing role is disabled for the device.
