How To Omit Subaddress In ORIG_SEND_ACCESS So Metermaid Is Per-recipient (Doc ID 2231348.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 06, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Per-recipient throttling can be circumvented by using subaddresses. Would like to know how to omit subaddress in ORIG_SEND_ACCESS so Metermaid is per-recipient.

A few Metermaid callouts in ORIG_SEND_ACCESS like this one:

  tcp_*|*|*|*", "$C$[IMTA_LIB:check_metermaid.so,test,recipient_throttle,$3,>90]$X4.2.3|$NFlood control on$E

What ends up being fed to Metermaid includes any subaddresses, eg:

[26/Jan/2017:16:25:17 -0800] <hostname> [14062]: General Information: (10) Current status for "user+asubfolder@domain" in recipient_throttle: 1 / 90

How can we extract the recipient @ omitting the subaddress in ORIG_SEND_ACCESS?
