On : 11.2 version, Endeca Application Deployment and Configuration

After Migrating to 11.2, an application intermittently disappears from Workbench.

The installation was performed on fresh hardware running a supported Linux x86-64 operating system.

The currently installed Oracle Commerce components are: MDEX 6.5.2, Platform Services 11.2.0, Tools & Framework 11.2.0.

The currently running application is a migration from Oracle Endeca 2.x, exported and brought to the new hardware.

The standard migration approach of 2.x -> 3.1.2 -> 11.0 -> 11.1 -> 11.2 was performed.

The architecture is broken into multiple environments - Workbench content is ported between environments and applications using the out-of-the-box imporot/exportContent and import/exportApplication runcommand tools.

For the purposes of this document, these are DEV and STAGE

Intermittently, and suddenly, when logging into the Workbench, the application will no longer be present in the drop-down menu.

The only workaround to this scenario is to run initialize_services to reprovision the application.

 Recent testing has been performed on the other environments, requiring reprovisioning of those applications.
