Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning - Version 14.1.2 and later
Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server - Version 14.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The error "Cannot obtain a read lock on database '/u01/aip/rpas/domain/AIP/data/hmaint.db.lck', 194. Another process has the database locked." occurs when a user performs User Defined Dimension (UDD) and commits under ASAP queue.  This is because the UDD commit is taking an excessively long time.
