If the Distribution Model Model Workbook (*_NMS_Distribution_Model.xlsm) has a nested DB Code lookup in the Symbology Enumerator column in any of these worksheets - Devices, Conditions, Customer & Service, Structures, Landbase, Annotation, Core Nodes -- the generated ssm.sql file will have a bad character in the symb_state_class value.
