User Cannot Update Resource Access for Their Own Account (Doc ID 2238020.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Users are unable to update 'Resource Access' for their own user entries, but are able to update all other users.  (Users are able to edit other fields such as Security Profile and Module Access, for their own account.)

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The field should be editable by users that have had the Add/Edit/Delete User privilege applied to their account.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6 Web.
  2. Navigate to Administer > User Administration.
  3. Try updating Resource Access for another user - successful.
  4. Try updating Resource Access for self - the field is read–only.
