ExportMeasure UpperCase Parameter Converts the Measure Value to Uppercase (Doc ID 2238684.1)

Last updated on MARCH 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server - Version 14.1.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

According to the Administration Guide regarding the upperCase parameter of exportMeasure:

-upperCase
Converts the position names to all uppercase before writing the output data file. Without this argument, position names are in lowercase, since they are stored in lowercase in the domain.

However, the upperCase parameter also converts the measure value if it is a string measure.

Step to recreate:
1. Execute printMeasure on any string measure in the domain to find a value that contain lowercase and uppercase letters.
2. Execute exportMeasure with -uppercase parameter.
3. View the exported file, and noticed the values are converted to uppercase.
