"File not found in server. Please contact your administrator" occurs when click 'Download File' in P6 Client XML Export Against An Exported Project With Special Characters (Doc ID 2242016.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to download a completed XML project job from the Job Status Tools menu of P6 Professional (connected to a P6 EPPM database), the following error occurs:

ERROR

File not found in server. Please contact your administrator

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open a Project in P6 Client.
  2. Navigate to File -> Export
  3. Select "Primavera P6 - (XML)" and click "Next"
  4. Select "Project" and click "Next"
  5. Tick "Export" and click "Next"
  6. Type "File Name" and click "Finish"
  7. Wait for completed message
  8. Navigate to Tools -> Job Status
  9. Click on the "Download File" hyperlink under "Job Status" column

 

NOTE: Issue only happens when XML job is created through P6 client, not P6 Web.
