Email Notification not Working (Doc ID 2242111.1)

Symptoms

On : 7.3.1 version, Backup Service, Email Notification

When attempting to send email notification, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Error message received from the Database Backup Manager: Notification EMail failure at Thu Feb 16 11:37:20 EET 2017

In the manager service logs you can find the following entries:

INFO | jvm 1 | 2017/02/16 11:37:20 | javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not convert socket to TLS;
INFO | jvm 1 | 2017/02/16 11:37:20 | nested exception is:
INFO | jvm 1 | 2017/02/16 11:37:20 | java.io.IOException: Server is not trusted: xx.xx.xx.xx




STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Control GUI
2. Events panel
3. Backup errors

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
Due to this issue, users cannot receive email notifications for backups problems
