Application is Missing From Experience Manager Drop Down Menu - AppName.DTTM Exists Instead

(Doc ID 2242310.1)

Last updated on MARCH 16, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Guided Search / Oracle Commerce Experience Manager - Version 3.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On an Oracle Commerce Experience Manager 3.1.2 application, the application name has been replaced in the application selection drop-down menu by <AppName>.DTTM

For example, if the application name was once "Discover" it is now "Discover.2017-01-01_8-00-00".

Background Information

A baseline_update process failed, recently, due to a sudden outage of the Endeca ITL host machine.

Upon restart of the Endeca ITL host, the application no longer appeared in the production instance's experience manager.

There are, instead, two applications named <appName>.DTTM  on this menu. These applications were not created by the business team.

This prevents further business user action on the application, and baseline_update indexing continues to fail.

Running promote_content causes any live assemblers to lose their Experience Manager content, resulting in 404s.

No recent changes, though a sudden outage of the Experience Manager (Endeca ITL) host machine did occur.
