Last updated on APRIL 06, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM) Handheld (HH) device, when the user creates a new return with '0' quantity for one of the items and dispatches it, the 'RTVCre' message sent from SIM to the Retail Merchandising System (RMS) contains the '0' quantity item, so the message fails in the Retail Integration Bus (RIB) with the following error in RIB_MESSAGE_FAILURE table;

Steps to reproduce:

1. In SIM HH device, create a new return with two items.
2. Enter '0' quantity for the second item.

The following error message is received: "The quantity must be a positive number".

3. Click 'ESC' key twice.
4. Dispatch the return.

Notice that the return was dispatched successfully with the '0' quantity for the second item.
