Auto Assign IP Address Issue

Symptoms

On : 6.0.15 version, PSR   |   Auto Assign IP Address issue

ACTUAL  BEHAVIOUR

Auto Assign IP Address issue. Inventory shows available IPs in the segments, but error received when we use the Auto Assign function. See attached

ERROR : "The Auto Assign process failed to find an assignable IP Address for item WAN -/30 Ip Subnet -1 using the given Rule Criteria."

STEPS

-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps in 6.0.15:


1. Open a PSR (for example ,PSR1)
2. Lets suppose the item  hierarchy is as follows:
  

()Global
    |---------MIP Bobded Copper Virtual Data-New
           |-------------WAN - 30/IP Subnet -1 -New

Right Click on WAN - 30/IP Subnet and Select IP Address Assignment . "IP Address Assignment" screen appears

3. Check the item . Enter the Network Area and Hit Auto Assign button .An IP, say IP1, is assigned .

4.Go to IP-Internal and check the status of this IP1 .Its Pending .

5.Come back to PSR order and Unassign the IP from the service item (WAN - 30/IP Subnet)

6.Go to IP-Internal and check the status of this IP1 .Its Unassigned .Delete this IP from the inventory . 

7-Come back to PSR order .Right Click on WAN - 30/IP Subnet and Select IP Address Assignment . "IP Address Assignment" screen appears .Check the item . Enter the Network Area and Hit Auto Assign button .

Here it gives the Error   "The Auto Assign process failed to find an assignable IP Address for item WAN -/30 Ip Subnet -1 using the given Rule Criteria." and the NA field is blanked .

 

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

After Step 7 above  MSS should have returned the next available  Unassigned IP in the inventory after hitting Auto Assign button .
