When attempting to upgrade a P6 Professional, Standalone database using dbsetup.bat the following error occurs:


SQLException: The Network Adapter Could Not Establish The Connection


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch dbsetup.bat
  2. Select 'Upgrade an existing database' from Database options.
  3. Select 'Oracle' for Server type, select Next.
  4. Enter in the connection details, select Next.
  5. Observe error.
