Goal
As Oracle Communications Unified Communications Suite supports only Oracle Directory Server (ODSEE) for user authentication, in a heterogeneous setup where both Microsoft Active Directory (MS-AD) and ODSEE User Directories are actively used, there is a need to synchronize user password changes from MS-AD to ODSEE. While other parameter/values can be synchronized easily, there is a challenge in synchronizing passwords as MS-AD and ODSEE use different encryption algorithms.
This document describes a method on how such a password change synchronization can be achieved.
