Oracle Retail Price Management (RPM) 14.0.3
Promo Payload has REF_PROMO_DTL_ID as NULL for overlapping simple promotions using Item List.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a simple promotion for 20% off using a Price Event item list.
2. Create a second simple promotion for 30% off for the same period as the first one and using another Price Event item list.
3. As a result, 3 payloads get generated - CRE for first promo, CRE for second promo and MOD for first promo.
4. In the MOD payload data, REF_PROMO_DTL_ID is NULL for some (not all) items and location records in RPM_PROMO_ITEM_LOC_SR_PAYLOAD.
This can cause there to be no reference to the Promotional sales at POS.
Applied <Patch 22922398> (hot fix) on RPM 14.0.3 (actual fix released in 14.0.4).
REF_PROMO_DTL_ID was introduced in 14.0.4 and was provided as a hot fix for RPM 14.0.3.
This data element refers to the actual promotion to be used as a reference at POS in case of overlapping promotions.
When two simple promotions are created using PE item Lists where many items are common to both item lists and have dates overlapping,
RPM_PROMO_ITEM_LOC_SR_PAYLOAD table has REF_PROMO_DTL_ID as NULL for some item/loc records in RPM_PROMO_ITEM_LOC_SR_PAYLOAD.
