Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Life Sciences Data Management Workbench - Version 2.4.6 and later
Oracle Life Sciences InForm - Version 6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Connect as DMW Admin and configure InForm Remote Location and Web Service Location.
In the Web Service Location, when click on "Test Connection" button, an below error is displayed about PORT 443 (HTTPS one):

Connection failed!! HTTP transport error: java.net.ConnectException:
Tried all:<#> addresses, but could not connect over HTTPS to server: <hostname.domain> port:443

Other symptom observed is when calling the URL from the sending host using both wget and curl the request simply "times out". It may reproduce from DMW "Test Connection" button as Connection failed!! HTTP transport error: java.net.ConnectionException: Connection timed out or via curl/wget as below:

This curl/wget timeout symptom points out there is a connection issue at networking level ( unrelated to WLS or DMW domain configuration) which has to be resolved, too.
