Cannot Save a Record as Draft if It Contains Any Summary Elements

A system error is thrown when trying to open a Business Process (BP) saved in draft form if it contains any summary elements, even when the summary elements are not on any forms.
NOTE: BP Record works fine if it has a query tab and no summary elements.
After making design modifications to add workflows to an existing BP records can no longer be created and sent forward in any workflow. While a window with the create form will open, and data can be entered, the record cannot be sent forward in the workflow as the following Unifier Notification is thrown:
Unifier Notification: The system could not process your request. Logging in again may help in some cases. Contact your System Administrator if you are still having problems.
NOTE: The user can Save the new record as a Draft, the same Unifier Notification is thrown trying to open the Draft record once it is saved and closed.
STEPS to Replicate
- Navigate to the appropriate BP
- Click New
- Fill out some data, or not, it doesn't matter
- Click Save. A window opens that says, "Draft has been saved."
- Go to Collaboration > Drafts and click the draft BP.
- Click Open
- Note: This is when the Unifier notification is thrown - "The system could not process your request", etc"
