ACS Throws a False Alarm when Moving an EDR "ERROR: Moving CDR file Failed (error code 255) mv ..." (Doc ID 2263019.1)

Last updated on MAY 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64

Symptoms

On all versions of Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) running on Linux, an error is logged by slee_acs every time an Event Data Record (EDR) file is closed and moved between the configured CdrCurrentDirectory and CdrClosedDirectory:

Apr 24 13:35:46.684132 slee_acs(115568) ERROR: Moving CDR file Failed (error code 255) mv "/IN/service_packages/SMS/cdr/current/ACS_201704241335026Z_115568.cdr" /IN/service_packages/SMS/cdr/closed

Despite the error, the Advanced Control Services (ACS) EDR is correctly moved to the closed directory.

Changes

New deployments of OC3C on Linux.
