Unconstrained ASCP Plan Pushing Out Sales Order Demand In The Future In Daily Buckets (Doc ID 2263407.1)

Memory Based Planner

Users are on 12.2.5 and have applied one off patch 22493520 - Mandatory 12.2.5 VCP Consolidated Patch 2. They're using 64 bit Linux MBP MSONWL64.ppc 120.15.12020000.42.1220500.59 2017/04/28 from SCO performance one off patch 25865324

Users are running an Unconstrained Production/MPS ASCP Plan 60 days/96 weeks/0 periods and observing strange behavior where the Sales order demand is being pushed out by 1 week and in some cases to 2 weeks into the future. There are no Non-Working Days. The problem does not appear to occur in days buckets. Customer also has project/task environment with plan options

Reservation Level = Project-Task
Hard Pegging Level = Project-Task
Enabled Use Common Supplies For Project Demands

Example:

Demand Org = PRD:M1
Supply Org = PRD:M2
Intransit = 0 between orgs. There's no lead time in PRD:M1 for this item
Item = 2-5-HUB-07887

Org = PRD:M1 - Sales Order NUmber - 157001500
Schedule Ship Date = 14-JUL-2017 23:59:00 in Order Management
Sugg Due Date = 28-JUL-2017 23:59:00 in ASCP

Also find it strange that there is a Project / Task = 1036009 / 1 on the sales order line. However none of the planned orders nor planned order demand in either Org shows it (ie they are NULL). This is happening on many items in weekly buckets in ASCP but they have not seen it happen in daily buckets. Note that the planning output in the workbench is strange as well in the weekly buckets for this example;

Demand Org = PRD:M1

Sales Order Demand qty = -1 for Proj/Task 1036009 / 1 due 28-JUL-2017 - Order Management shows schedule ship date 14-JUL-2017 (pushed out 2 weeks)
Planned Order Qty = 1 - No Proj/Task - Sugg Due Date = 28-JUL-2017

Supply Org = PRD:M2

Planned Order Demand qty = -1 - No Proj/Task - Sugg Due Date = 28-JUL-2017
Planned Order qty = 1 - No Proj/Task - Sugg Due Date = 14-JUL-2017 - planning seems right here to meet what Order Management shows on the customer sales order (14-JUL-2017) and there's no intransit between Orgs

As can be seen, the planning output is confusing.

2. Review Workbench output
3. Find problem with planning pushing out sales orders and planned orders when checking weekly bucket data
4. So far problem does not occur on daily buckets
