Stock Count Discrepant Flag Is Set Incorrectly for the Items with Zero or Negative Snapshot Quantity (Doc ID 2266804.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 15.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM), the Stock Count's Discrepant flag is not set correctly for the items with snapshot quantities as zero or negative.

Steps to Recreate:

1. Create an Unguided Unit product group for 2 items and set the Variance Percentage as '200%'.
2. Make sure that the 2 items have total quantity (i.e. STORE_ITEM_STOCK.QUANTITY_TOTAL) as either '0' or negative value.
3. Schedule the product group.
4. Take a snapshot.
5. Open the stock count and enter the count values so that the items should not be considered discrepant items.

For example:
Item A with QUANTITY_TOTAL '0', set the COUNT_SNAPSHOT as '1'.
Item B with QUANTITY_TOTAL '-3', set the COUNT_SNAPSHOT as '5'.

6. Confirm the Stock Count.

Check the STOCK_COUNT_LINE_ITEM table and note that DISCREPANT flag is set to 'Y' incorrectly for the above items.
