My Oracle Support Banner Is Falling During The Installation #exadata #ORMB2.5 #linux (Doc ID 2267532.1)

Encountering following issues during the installation of the 22645600 DB patch (and any other patch,

1. Couldn't connect to database ORACLE ora-ormb:1521:ormb ormb_user : java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor

In order to fix that, patch 23019340 has been installed but still not able to proceed.

The installation is run from application server and there is a valid connection to the database from ORMB application or sqlplus but a connection issue occurs while giving Hostname:Port:ServiceName during the installation of patches. Exadata DB is being used, due to the documentation for exadata usage of SID has been avoided. Only the SERVICE_NAME is allowed for the connection purpose.
This issue does not occur on any other environment where a standalone Oracle DB Server is used.

How can these DB patches be installed on Exadata without SID?
