In Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server (RPAS), for Classic Client using Commit ASAP and Fusion Client using Commit, Committing User Defined Hierarchy (UDH) changes in the Hierarchy Maintenance workbook results in the commit status changing to Failed, as seen in the Commit Status window.  

For example:

The workaround for Classic Client is to use Commit Now.  In Fusion Client there is no workaround to commit UDH changes.
