Symptoms

When attempting to configure the P6 EPPM WebLogic domain, the following error occurs.

The JRE was not found in directory <P6 EPPM home>\scripts\@DEFAULT_BEA_JAVA_HOME. (JAVA_HOME)
Please edit your environment and set the JAVA_HOME variable to point to the root directory of your Java installation.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Install the Java JDK and WebLogic Server.
  2. Confirm that the JAVA_HOME environment variable is created and pointing to the correct Java JDK path.
  3. Install the P6 EPPM files, which then launches the EPPM Configuration Wizard.
  4. Observe the reported error on the Configuring WebLogic Domain for P6 page of the process.
