EID Studio Page Name Not Saving

When clicking on a new page, choosing a name, clicking save and then navigating to another page, the name of the newly added page disappears.

The page is still usable but its name is blank.

In the application page in the Control Panel, the page exists, but the name is empty and when trying to provide a name it complains about invalid data being entered.

The issue is visible in the Endeca Studio log when setting the log level to Debug:

2017-05-26 11:13:58,337 DEBUG [LocalizationUtil] ------------- requestedLanguageId : en_GB -----------
2017-05-26 11:13:58,337 DEBUG [LocalizationUtil] ------------- value : null -----------

2017-05-26 11:13:58,338 DEBUG [LocalizationUtil] ------------- Ending method getLocalization ------------------------------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From Endeca Studio applications page, click to add a new page
2. Enter a name for the page
3. Click Save
4. Navigate to another page
5. Observe that the newly added page has an empty name.
6. Observe that when trying to give it a name it returns an "You have entered invalid data. please try again."

The file was changed a couple of months ago to include the following line, so that the users could only select the English(GB) locale:
