Need To Query By Order Type For Exception "Orders With Compression Days" In APCC (Doc ID 2276751.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Planning Command Center - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : version, Reports and Dashboards in All instances:

Users are on 12.1.3 and have applied VCP aka R12.SCP_PF.B.Delta.4 - Patch 22706126. In Advanced Planning Command Center they notice a significant different between what the ASCP workbench shows vs APCC in regards to Orders with compression days exception. In ASCP users see the exception associated with order types like Purchase Order, Purchase Requisition, Work Order, etc... However in APCC they only see an Exception - Count, Exception - Days, Organization Code and Exception - Quantity

If the users try query including Order Type in their query, they get No Results displayed. Running the following sql yields:

select distinct order_type
from apps.msc_exceptions_f
where exception_type = 9

Order_type = -23453 (which is NULL)

The order type is available for other other exception types such as "Orders to be rescheduled in/out".

Expect the Order Type to show and be populated correctly so users will know the type of order having the compression days exception

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In ASCP workbench, review exceptions for Orders with compression days
2. Order type field is populated and shown for each individual order and type
3. Query the same exception in APCC with Order Type in the query and they see no results
4. Remove the Order type from the query and now they see general results but no Order Type
