The Communication History Search Zone on the Customer Information Tab of Control Central crashes when it tries to retrieve history from Notification Center (OUNC).
Customer business requirement is to send emails (via OUNC) that are more than 10,000 characters in length. Base CCB supports a maximum of 4000 characters only, so as per Oracle's recommendation we are using xsl template to send email out. This is after notifications leave CCB and before they reached OUNC.
The ""NC_NOTIFICATION"."NOTIF_TEXT" column in the OUNC database is CLOB so it is able to save the 10,000 character emails. But when we call the "C1-NotificationHistoryOutMsg" BO in CCB to get the history from the OUNC DB, the page crashes.
Issue can be replicated with the following steps:
- Update one record on NC_NOTIFICATION to have a NOTIF_TEXT value with greater than 4000 characters
- Run query in CCB > Control Central > Customer Information > Communication History Search > query type 'Notification History'
- UI throws an error "org.hibernate.QueryTimeoutException: ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column"
