Deleting Folder Fails With "[NONEXISTENT] Mailbox Does Not Exist" (Doc ID 2280474.1)

Last updated on JULY 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When trying to delete a folder (that does not exist in Store), in Convergence an error is displayed as "[NONEXISTENT] Mailbox does not exist".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
---------------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

In an normal IMAP client (telnet localhost 143), create a folder "folder_1/sub_folder1". Make sure that "folder_1" does not exist first.
That should result in mboxutil showing like this:

notice that "folder_1/sub_folder1" exists, but "folder_1" does not exist. This is a perfectly normal/valid situation.

Now log in to Convergence and try to delete "folder_1".

It fails with "[NONEXISTENT] Mailbox does not exist".
