Last updated on MARCH 11, 2019

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The Connection Design CLR/DLR Design line blocks for a Cable Pair assignment are shuffled/rearranged/interlaced between a Facility's assignment block's lines after using the right-click "Reverse Sequence" option. The Cable Pair assignment block displays correctly when making the initial assignment. The CORRECT and INCORRECT display of the Cable Pair assignment are depicted below.

CORRECT

NOTE: The 4 Cable Pair assignment block lines appear as expected.

Recreation Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Open a Connection Design having several assignments (Facility, Equipment, etc)

2. Click CLR/DLR Design

3. Assign a Cable Pair

4. Save as Current or New Issue

5. Right-click on the Cable Pair assignment and select "Reverse Sequence"

Workaround

To correct the issue it is necessary to move the assignment back and forth in the CLR until it collapses upon itself.  This is required for all equipment effected by this problem and may require Unassigned/reassign to get the entry to appear properly.

Business Impact

Loss of productivity to correct the problem.
