Stuck Threads When Processing High Volume PrmPrcChg Messages
(Doc ID 2283546.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 07, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 14.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When high volume Promotion Price Changes (PrmPrcChg) messages are sent from Retail Price Management (RPM), and Store Inventory Management (SIM) processes them, stuck threads occur and memory decreases until SIM application hangs completely.
Step to Recreate:
1. From RPM, create a promotion update in RPM with approximately 100 items in 4 different zones with 30 exclusions.
2. This creates a PrmPrcChg message with more than 25000 lines sent to SIM, causing stuck threads and a memory shortage.
