Account Currency is not Auto Populated in Currency Field under Payment Quickadd UI (Doc ID 2284839.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Revenue Management and Billing - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On RMB v2. against FW v4., FT - Financials:

The account currency does not get populated in Currency field.

Payment QuickAdd screen not populating the account currency once Account Id is selected.
User needs to select the value manually.
Also it is noticed that only a single value shows up in the drop down list. For this case, only Australian Dollar currency is available in the drop down.
However once the screen is refreshed, it shows the list with other available currencies.

User expects that the currency should be auto populated based on Account's currency.
However if it is a manual steps as per design, then the drop down should show all values available initially - not after saving with single value available and then refresh the screen to see the other options in the list.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In ORMB, go to Main menu > Financial > Payment QuickAdd
2. Search for Account ID [Note you might need to retrieve a Tender Control ID first based on your settings] and select one
3. Payment QuickAdd UI refreshed with relevant values for the record, but 'Currency' field shows a blank
4. Click on the 'Currency' drop down field and notice that it shows only a single value [For customer's case, it is Australian Dollar]
5. Select the value
6. If user clicks on 'History' Left button to go to previous UI and then click on Right button, it comes back to Payment QuickAdd UI
7. Notice that the Current field shows the value selected in step#5. Now click on the drop down list and notice it shows more than one value option

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot select the correct Currency initially and it needs manual action to select the correct Currency value which might cause a user mistake.
