Error: Database Is A P6 Professional Database, It Cannot Be Upgraded To P6 EPPM When Using DBSETUP.BAT From EPPM Media to Upgrade a PPM Database

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to upgrade a P6 Professional database, the following error occurs.
The specified database is a P6 Professional database. It cannot be upgraded to P6 EPPM (Enterprise Project Portfolio Management)
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch dbsetup.bat utility from the EPPM media
2. Provide connection information
3. Upon clicking the next button, error message is received
