Quantity Entered Against the Non-Sellable Quantity Is Not Validated For Disposition Type '-UNAVAILABLE' and '+UNAVAILABLE' (Doc ID 2286776.1)

Last updated on JULY 31, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 15.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM), the user is allowed to move inventory from one unavailable sub-bucket to another one although it does not have sufficient inventory to perform this task.

Steps to Recreate:

1. Define a new reason code with disposition as '-unavailable' and '+unavailable'.
2. Create an Inventory Adjustment to move inventory from one unavailable to another unavailable bucket.
Make sure that you choose an item that does not have any inventory in any of these sub buckets.
Notice that SIM does not display any warning message.
4. Navigate to Item Look up, the non-sellable tab reflects the units adjusted but it doesn't get reflected in unavailable units displayed in 'Stock on hand Units'.
