Symptoms

When attempting to create a P6 Professional connection to an Oracle database running release 12.2.0.1+ with the P6 Professional database configuration utility, the following failure occurs when attempting to validate the connection results:

Error: Unable to resolve privileged username and password. ORA-28040: No matching authentication protocol.
