Goal

We need to migrate IMAP mailboxes from an external system to Oracle Message store without disruption to the client, meaning we need to be able to specify UIDs and flags (all metadata basically). This is possible between Oracle Messaging systems with imsbackup and imsrestore. We need to understand the imsbackup format so that we can create similar output from an external system and use imsrestore to restore into the Oracle store. This is critically necessary to be able to migrate mailboxes to the Oracle store with minimal client disruption.
