Converted PDF with AutoVue Conversion Does not Show Embedded Fonts (Doc ID 2292389.1)

In AutoVue 21.0.1 the user uses the "Convert" function with AutoVue. A Word document with various embedded fonts is converted to PDF. The PDF properly displays on an regular computer with Adobe Reader; however, the same PDF does not display properly when viewed on an iPad Air using iOS 10.3.2.

Expected Behavior:

The generated PDF file using AutoVue conversion should display correctly on an IPad Air using iOS 10.3.2

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


  1. Open a Word document file that has embedded fonts in Ms Word
  2. Use Ms word to generate PDF file, notice that you can view the created PDF file correctly in Adobe Reader both a regular computer and in an iPad Air
  3. Use AutoVue conversion ( File --> Convert) and notice that the output PDF file can be viewed correctly in Adobe Reader on a regular computer but fonts are missing when viewing it in an iPad Air
